Course Outline

If you are enrolling into our Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, it is expected that you will already have a sound understanding of the hospitality industry from completing our Diploma of Hospitality Management or from obtaining other equivalent qualifications. This course is all about refining your previously acquired knowledge and strengthening those skills you may find to be underdeveloped. What is special about our Advanced Diploma is that it will go in to depth about relevant topics such as to managing finances and physical assets, developing effective marketing strategies, and the process involved in recruiting, selecting and inducting staff. At the end of this course you should possess a strong set of employability skills that will make it hard for employers to overlook you.

*Please note all WAIFS courses are offered via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

** This course will be delivered and assessed via classroom delivery, distance learning and online assessment.

  • Entry Requirements

    Successful completion of Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent).

    IELTS score of 5.5 (or equivalent).

  • Work-based Placement

    All students of the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management will undertake 200 hours of work-based placement, linked with a number of units of competency in the Advanced Diploma. Students will undertake the practical components of their course in the hospitality industry and work alongside qualified professionals and/or skilled workers. Students are supervised during these placements by WAIFS trainers and designated supervisors at the host employer.

  • Pathways/Articulation

    After achieving an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, you may undertake a range of other Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree qualifications. You may also be able to receive exemptions from some subjects based on this qualification.

  • International Fees

    Tuition Fee: $4,950.00

    Materials Fee: $300.00

    ^Uniform Fee: $250.00

    ^A Uniform Fee will only be applicable if you have not completed WAIFS’ Diploma of Hospitality Management prior.

    A one-off $230.00 Enrolment Fee is applicable to process the Application.

    *Course fees may change. This is usually annually on 1 July and typically no more than 4%.
